โดยพระราชวชิราภรณ์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดมหาพฤฒาราม ได้มอบหมายให้พระศรีสิทธิวิเทศ ผู้ช่วยเจ้าอาวาส พร้อมด้วยคณะสงฆ์ นำญาติโยมบำเพ็ญกุศล ตั้งแต่เวลา 06:30 น. เริ่มพิธีบวงสรวงทวยเทพเทวดา ผู้ปกปักรัษาองค์พระนอน เวลา 08:30 น.พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์นพเคราะห์และชัยมงคลคาถา เวลา 10:00 น. พิธีห่มผ้าพระนอน พระสงฆ์ สวดชยันโต และอนุโมทนา เวลา 11:00 น. ถวายภัตตาหารเพล ถวายปัจจัย และเครื่องไทยทาน เป็นการเสร็จพิธี

โดยหลวงพ่อพระนอนวัดมหาพฤฒาราม นั้น เป็นพระนอนเก่าแก่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยา มีขนาดความยาว ๑๙ เมตร ใหญ่เป็นอันดับสองในกรุงเทพมหานครรองจากพระนอนวัดโพธิ์  ซึ่งทางวัดมหาพฤฒารามได้เปิดโอกาสให้พุทธศาสนิกชนได้เข้ามากราบสักการะบูชา เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลสะเดาะเคราะห์ เสริมชะตาราศรี แก้ปีชงในปีนี้เพื่อเป็นการฉลองสมโภช ๑๗๐ ปี วัดมหาพฤฒาราม และร่วมทำบุญบูรณะปฏิสังขรณ์เขตพุทธาวาส บูชาวัตถุมงคลของวัดในโอกาสนี้ด้วย
